How do I close my account?

To close your account you need to follow this steps:

1) Log into https://account.riseup.net

2) Click on the "Close account" button

3) Re-enter your password and click the red "Close account" button

That's all. The e-mail account is closed and the data purged.

Note: When you do this process your username will enter a "reserved" state. This means nobody, including you, will be able to user that username again.

Hi,

Your account is closed for inactivity. You can re-enable it login into https://account.riseup.net, after that will be automatically reactivated

If you close your account, you can't reopen it again

Hello, is there a way to close a "black" account? I opened it a few months ago for VPN use. Now I want to delete it so I can use the username in the newly created email account. Thanks.
