Mails rejected by SwissCom

My iPhone / Swisscom always replies to my wanting to send or receive mails that riesup.net has rejected my connection as my name or password is incorrect; that is not the case. How do I correct this problem?

Hi,

Just a guess, maybe it has something to do with the network you are on? Can you setup tethering on the phone and try Thunderbird on the Macbook via that? That might help rule that out.

What settings are you using? Maybe there's a minor difference we can help spot.
