How do I turn it on? Once you start it you will get an icon in the toolbar that you can use to turn it on/off, change settings, etc

Does it work outside of the browser? Like if I'm running bittorrent?
Yes it works for all traffic, although we don't recommend using it to torrent as it will likely be slow for that and it affects other users.
