Some Android apps hang, apparently refusing to communicate, when the VPN is active. These include Facebook Lite, Toon Blast, and Google Play Store. The only workaround I've found is to disable VPN (suboptimal)

Hello,

This is because when a VPN is running, the OS has no way to guarantee that network traffic will go on wifi. So, because some apps have the functionality to only sync video, download updates, etc. over wi-fi, but our VPN doesn't tell the app if it's using wifi or cellular those big file transfers will not started.

You can either change this option in your android, to allow them to go out, or wait for our next beta which has the option of excluding certain apps from the VPN.

Example workaround for Signal (messaging client): settings -> chats & media -> Media auto-download if you allow downloads as well while roaming and/or over mobile data you should be able to get messages, make backups etc.
