VPN service - How do you combat DMCA/Fake notice?

Searxuser wrote...
1. Do you log *anything*?
2. How do you handle evil user who use your VPN to send spam mail OR trolling/attacking other forums?
3. If 2 can be blocked, how do you handle that without "logless"?
4. What is your stance for torrent? I think other user already tried that.
5. Why your VPN allow incoming connection? (internet -> client side, can knock port) Why not share IP address instead?

I would advise you to read our policies as it handles most of your questions:
https://riseup.net/en/about-us/policy

Specifically, the relevant ones are here:

1. https://riseup.net/en/privacy-policy#information-we-choose-to-not-retain and https://riseup.net/en/privacy-policy/#information-we-collect-and-retain (tl;dr not much. we try to limit as much as we can)
2. https://riseup.net/en/about-us/policy/tos#account-termination (tl;dr they lose their account)
3. consider spam, for example: you can delete everything off the servers, but recipients have the full headers of the message, identifying your riseup account
4. torrent is simply a protocol. nothing wrong with it. if you're providing copyrighted content via torrent and someone submits a takedown notice, there is that, though. we do have DCMA procedures: https://riseup.net/en/about-us/policy/dmca#notice-and-takedown-procedure
5. the ip address is shared. that said, you should still use a firewall.
