Greetings,
Earlier today I had trouble logging in to email via Thunderbird. I was prompted to enter the password but it was not accepted. So, I changed my password online and tried again. Same problem.
I haven't made any recent changes to Thunderbird account settings except to change smtp.riseup.net to mail.riseup.net for outgoing mail AFTER this problem arose. For outgoing, I'm using Port 465, SSL/TLS, and "Normal password" for authentification. For incoming, I'm using pop.riseup.net, Port 995, SSL/TLS, and "TLS certificate" for authentification.
The outgoing error returns: "Sending of the message failed.
Failed due to unexpected error 80004005. No description is available.
The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.riseup.net for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again."
Incoming error reports: "Sending of password for user did not succeed. Mail server pop.riseup.net responded: Account is temporarily unavailable."
The problem is ongoing. Assistance would be appreciated.
