I've tried to add, on separate occasions, email addresses to the "allow" list on spam settings in order to stop them from being sent to the spam folder but no matter what address I try to add I get an error every time "Allow list contains an invalid email address" but this isn't true - they are valid email addresses i'm trying to add. I haven't had success in adding to my allow list for several weeks now.

Would you be willing to provide an example that it complains about so we could test?
Also one other useful trick is that if you move a message from the spam folder back to the inbox then that tells the server that it misclassified the message and it will adjust (the opposite also works, you can drag spam from the inbox to the spam folder too).
