Hello,
For how long unreceived messages are stored on riseup's XMPP server before being deleted if unclaimed? Some of my correspondents send me IM but I am not always online (poor connection) and some messages are "dropped" - the sender gets an "user unavailable" error and I get no message. But sometimes I do get the messages. If the delay is known I can try to connect at regular interval to get messages before they get deleted.

I believe XMPP messages are not stored at all on the server, as we don't want to be able to access the content of them at any time. There have been some discussions about retaining some messages if encrypted but the XMPP service is currently a low priority for us.
