I'm currently using Devuan Linux and noticed this thread from 2019. Did anything ever become of this?

I should note that Devuan has greatly overtaken Debian on recent user polls:

So I don't foresee requests like mine becoming less frequent.
I found that Gentoo has managed to create a version of the riseup-vpn client that uses openrc and not systemd. The openrc init system is offered with Devuan and would seem to be easy to port over. The only problem is that their github only shows files to make an ebuild. Would you have access to the actual source code for this? If so, I would be very interested in helping to make this usable with Devuan, if it isn't already.
