I have recently been able to create an invite but now the system shows that my account (from which I created the previous invite) is not able to generate invites yet:
"New accounts are not able to create new invites. Please wait a while and try again later."
Is the amount of invites limited within a certain time span or something. Otherwise I can't think of a solution.

Sadly we had to disable invites for everyone as a temporal mitigation for spam and harassment abuses that have been increasing lately. This measure will continue until we find a way to get a proper solution to the abuse problem.
