Sub folders are not proper shown

Elmor a posé une question...

Hi, I went to "Manage Folders" and created a few sub-folders under the "Inbox". The moment I created them they all where shown under the "Inbox". But when returning to show my eMails "all folders where at the bottom of the list and NO MORE under inbox". Did I miss something?
Thanks for helping.

Hi,

You meant using https://mail.riseup.net? I believe it's currently not possible to reorder the Folder list display. By default all folders are "subfolders from Inbox" and that's the reason they go down, we will need to have a way to re-order them.

I will take this a feature request and a note that a clarification is needed on this.

Hi Urraca De Cuello Negro,

Yes that under that link. So my folders are now NOT shown under Inbox but at the end of the official folders e.g. Send, Spam, Trash.
Would be nice to be able to rearrange them.
BTW, when I created my subfolders it gave me the option under which folder to place them. I choose "Inbox".

Thanks for your action.

Hi,

Yes, I was able to replicate the same thing... the problem is that the folder structure we use involves that everything is part of the main inbox. We needed this because we wanted to support people using e-mail clients in their own computers (we still want that, we having always trying to promote that people download their mails) and this format was the "most compatible one" at that time (i don't know today).

So, this means if you create a folder, named, nature, for example it always be your-inbox/nature. if you go to roundcube and create it under INBOX or outside inbox in both cases will be your-inbox/nature. When I did this check yesterday if you try to move the subforder from inbox to the main list of folders you get the error that the folder is already there because that's where it always was.

This also means your Spam, Trash and Sent folders are also subfolders of the main inbox. I hope this makes sense.

The only thing we could do is allow the user change order of the folders, but we cannot change maildir format today. We don't have a lot of time to do the change of order, but maybe somebody will find it fun and volunteer to take that task.

In solidarity
urraca
