Mailbox 100% full at 30 messages.

John a posé une question...
Hi. I have no mail in the inbox or in any other folder but I have the bottom icon showing 70% use. I find after about 25-30 emails in the inbox it becomes 100% filled. This has only started in the last few days. Have there been changes or do I need to modify some settings? Anyone else having or had this issue?

thanks

Hey,

I'm sorry it took so long to get a reply, i'm the one that do most of the tickets and had to travel because family issues making the support requests suffer.

So, first I increased your storage quota to 400mb. You can reduce it back to 92 if you want to login into https://account.riseup.net, then mail settings -> quota. We announce when we can provide more space in our newsletters, so please read them.

Now, there are different reasons why your quota could be bigger than what you can see

Now, there are different reasons why your quota could be bigger than what you can see, but there are two that are extremely common

1) There are hidden folders in your e-mail. This is produced because different programs store things like trash or spam into different places. You can check all the folders in https://mail.riseup.net, press the bottom left cog and Admin Folders (i don't know what's the english translation, but something with folders). Then make sure all of them are selected. After that you should be able to see if there is "hidden e-mail" in your account.

2) There is a small delay for the quota storage check sometimes, it shouldn't be long.

Please check 1) and let us know if that wasn't the problem. Please also remember that storage takes into account all your folders, not just the inbox.
